Brad Leithauser is a widely acclaimed poet and novelist and the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including a MacArthur Fellowship. He is a professor in the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University and divides his time between Baltimore and Amherst.
James Arthur, a member of the Hopkins faculty, is the author of two poetry collections, The Suicide’s Son (Véhicule Press, 2019) and Charms Against Lightning (Copper Canyon Press, 2012). His poems have also appeared in The New Yorker, Poetry, The New York Review of Books, The London Review of Books, The Southern Review, and The American Poetry Review. He has received the Amy Lowell Travelling Poetry Scholarship, a Hodder Fellowship, a Stegner Fellowship, a Discovery/The Nation Prize, a Fulbright Scholarship to the Seamus Heaney Centre in Northern Ireland, and a Visiting Fellow at Exeter College, Oxford.
